BOLT ON TYPE STONEFLOWS

Bolt on Stoneflow

Bolt on stoneflows offer another aspect to climbing what is usually a flat vertical wall. Bolted on just below a large roof, the stoneflow can add to the atmosphere of launching out into space. Because the stoneflow is narrow it doesn't allow the climber to get a rest by stemming across holds (unless you put then on the vertical wall adjacent to the flow) as well as the fact that the shape itself allows for more of a pinch grip technique than a crimp thus not allowing the climber to have a decent rest before tackling the roof.

The main features of the stoneflow are that :

a) you can enhance the visual appeal of the wall creating more enthusiasm for customers and
b) you can artificially lengthen the difficulty of the roof by creating a difficult and restrictive approach to the roof moves
c) you can easily remove the flow and put it in another location
